Senior Process Metallurgist – Mt. Isa

• We are looking for a Metallurgist / Senior Process Metallurgist with Flotation
• With Heavy Medium Plant & Grinding experience
• Permanent role 
• Residential Role - (Mount Isa, QLD)
• Roster: (5 – 2 roster for permanent staff)
• Identify process improvement opportunities and then instigate process improvements and cost reduction projects.
• Mentor the metallurgical team of metallurgists and technicians to assist with project initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all production reports.
• Manage the operation of an on-site Laboratory including sampling and housekeeping.
• Provide metallurgical support and guidance to operations and maintenance.
• Maintain the Budget recovery model.
• Provide Technical Analysis.
• Met accounting including responsibility for the monthly metallurgical balance.

Essential Selection Criteria: 

• At least 5-7 years’ experience in mining and mineral processing
• Tertiary qualifications in metallurgy engineering or similar
• Providing technical input into feasibility studies as well as for the development of new projects
• Supervising preparation of documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and project regimes
• A strong focus and adherence to safety, and continuous improvement
• Demonstrated management/leadership ability
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Proven track record of safety, environment and quality assurance standards
• Computer literacy (MS Office applications)
