Job Description
As Senior Procurement Officer you will be responsible for:
  • Preparing and publishing request for tenders/quotations in conjunction with legal team.
  • Preparing and managing bid evaluations with contract owners.
  • Assessment and evaluation of bids.
  • Sourcing, vendor selection and negotiation with suppliers.
  • Occasional transactional purchasing and expediting.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
The Successful Applicant
In order to be successful in this position you will have at least 3 years experience in a similar role. You will have knowledge of contract and commercial law and a strong working knowledge of procurement policies and procedures. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong negotiation skills. You will also have excellent analytical and conceptual skills and adopt an innovative attitude to continuous improvement. Tertiary qualifications will be a distinct advantage.
