Our client is a large diversified engineering services group based in Perth they design and deliver mine, rail and port projects for the resources and infrastructure sectors both in Australia and select international markets.
 
They are moving into the next phase of their EPCM expansion projects and currently have the opportunity for a cost controller to provide accurate commercial advice to the Senior Cost Controller and Project Management team on all cost matters relating to the change process associated with introducing automated trains to the stockyards.
 
Duties in this role will include:

·         Responsible for preparing all assigned Costing activities on the Project
·         Prepare all project cost forecast and progress reports
·         Execute objectives, standards and procedures applicable to cost control and analysis activities
·         Preparing the Cost Accounts in consultation with the Project Team
·         Responsible for the collection, accurate interpretation and diligent incorporation and presentation of Costing data from the Project Team and into the EPCM systems
·         Identification of obstacles in receiving / processing required project data

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

·         5 years experience in the Mining sector as a Cost Controller.
·         Previous experience on site would be viewed favourably
·         A successful track record of accurately recording, analysing, interpreting and forecasting cost data for large projects. 
·         Excellent organisational and communication skills.
·         Experience with EPCM is highly desirable.
·         Tertiary level qualification in an Engineering or Accountancy discipline is preferred
