About the Job
Be the Lead for the Project Controls functions on this multibillion dollar Infrastructure project based at Port Hedland working within the EPCM team you will need to be a very confident and autonomous Project Controls professional. Based on site for this mining and infrastructure project you will use your 8+ years of hands on experience to help guide this project with minimum delay, dispute or excess cost.
 
·         Senior Position within Project Controls Team
·         12 month Contract
·         Excellent Remuneration
 
Our client is looking for a well experienced, extremely competent  and autonomous Project Controls Lead to work in WA on site for a very large infrastructure project for $1Billion plus. This is a great opportunity to join a professional organisation and be involved with a challenging and complicated project. Based on site this role will be responsible for Project Controls within the EPCM team involving all estimating, planning and cost control functions and will be vital in ensuring the timely delivery of this billion dollar project. 
 
The main function of this role will be to (but not limited to):
 
·         Direct the KPIs of all areas of the project (Engineering, Contracts, Materials and Procurement etc).
·         Monitor EPCM team performance and handling of contracts and procurement issues
·         Put together accurate reports in order to identify potential issues and mitigate risk to the project.
·         Perform optimisation studies and cost benefit analyses to enhance project performance.
·         Review and approve all cost forecasts and progress reports.
 
In return the project is offering an attractive and challenging opportunity and an attractive contract rate in a 12 month minimum role.
 
As an ideal candidate you will need:
 
·         Ideally you will have from 8 years + experience in a project control management role on a large EPCM or Client Team project coupled with tertiary qualification in engineering. 
·         Further qualifications such as an MBA would be considered highly desirable but not essential. 
·         To be an effective communicator and team leader and have specific experience of planning, cost control, contract and procurement systems.
