Renowned as a global leader in the extraction of base metals, this international employer of choice is currently experiencing continued success and requires a metallurgist to join their experienced and high performing team. 


Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist you will be responsible for managing the day to day metallurgical activities related to reporting procedures, plant performance, implementation and improvements, testing and staff training. This role requires you to provide technical advice to both maintenance and operation teams, along with assisting with the development of budgets and forecasts for the department.  


You will have solid experience in gold flotation, grinding, plant and process optimisation and testing practices. You will posses excellent time management, the ability to work autonomously and to think laterally to solve problems.  


You will have Tertiary Qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or other related disciplines, ideally with exposure to base metals.
