Due to internal movement there is a need for a Superintendent – Geology and Survey, working within the Mine Planning Department. 

 You will be responsible for the development and performance of the geology and survey teams, ensuring operations are run in a safe and effective manner.Using your management skills you will ensure mining operations and project objectives are achieved within budget. 

Assisting in the development, implementation and review of survey data, accurate coal surface (ASC) modelling and geological modelling, aiming to achieve Simplicity, Accountability and Effectiveness. You will also be responsible for the management of geological and spatial models.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Applied Science –Geology or Surveying as well as a substantial track record in the open cut mining industry and experience in a senior role are vital for this position. Your knowledge of the MS Office suite is also required, combined with extensive experience in mine planning processes.
