SENIOR CIVIL TECHNOLOGIST
Fort McMurray, AB
As the successful candidate, you will facilitate quality control monitoring on large scale earthworks, mining, and heavy civil construction projects.
The candidate will be responsible for the execution of the quality control program, conducting a variety of laboratory and field testing procedures on aggregates, soils, concrete and asphalt, and performing quality control management, compaction and monitoring.
You will collect, prepare and review field notes and related data in order to report results and observations to the client.
This role will require that the candidate provide direction and training to junior staff working on the same projects.
Key qualifications:
- Completion of a two-year or equivalent program for civil technicians and the equivalent of 6 years of experience or a minimum of 10 years of related experience;
- Strong leadership and communication skills including comprehensive note taking;
- Ability to maintain a successful safety program and contribute to the implementation of training, standards, and procedures.
