HR Generalist / Recruiter

DiCorp is a privately owned diversified group of companies providing chemical products to the oil, gas, mining, industrial drilling and food and pharmaceutical industries. Due to business growth, we are currently looking for an HR Generalist / recruiter for our Edmonton, AB location.

This position will focus on the facilitating our recruitment efforts to attract high quality talent for all branches of the company, in addition to HR Generalist duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop recruitment initiatives and sourcing strategies for each geographical area within DiCorp.
  • Prepare written job postings and determine appropriate posting locations for specific positions.
  • Track success rates of source locations and costs to develop cost effective alternatives.
  • Maintain current on applicable human resource legislation and laws.
  • Actively work with hiring managers to develop and/or edit job descriptions to support the position.
  • Prepare and execute telephone pre-screening interviews with potential candidates.
  • Schedule and prepare behavioral and situational interview questions for face to face interviews with the hiring manager. Assist the manager in the interviews as required.
  • Complete, verify and process forms and documentation for recruitment and HR processes.
  • Compile statistical reports related to human resource data.
  • Complete exit interviews as required.
  • Assist with HR database updates and maintenance.
  • Coordinate employment testing processes with applicable candidates.
  • Assist with the on-boarding process and orientation requirements with newly hired employees.

Performance Objectives:

  • Timely recruitment initiatives.
  • Accurate and detailed HR data.
  • Meeting the operational objectives while complying with the overall corporate goals and objectives.
  • Attend regular safety meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Human Resources and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years full cycle recruitment experience
  • Registered Professional Recruiter designation or CHRP is considered an asset
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Respect for and appropriate handling of confidential information
