Mineral Resources Manager

Mineral Resources Manager Mpumalanga

A progressive mid-tier mining company seeks a suitably qualified and experienced individual to take full responsibility of the mineral resources function at one of its major operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mining/Geology and/or Government Certificate of Competence
  • At least five years experience in a hard rock underground mine
  • Registered with SACNASP
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Greenstone experience will be advantageous

Job Specification

  • The Mineral Resources Manager forms part of the General Manager's MANCO. 
  • The role is responsible to translate technical mineral resources information (geology and survey) into business plans and proposals as well as being a monitor of relevant current organizational performance.
  • Technical work responsibilities would, inet alia, include:
  • Proper mineral resource standards, procedures and codes of practice
  • Operational and effective MRM programme
  • Project management
  • Controlled financial expenditure
  • Optimum utilization of resources
