Senior Mine Engineer

My client seeks the skills of a Mine Engineer who has no less than 10 to 15 years of experience.

• You must have extensive management experience. 
• Experience with Tantalum is essential .

Minimum Requirements

• Engineering Degree
• At least 10  to 15 years experience in mining
• Thorough working knowledge of mining activities
• High level of computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite, CAD software, etc

Job Specification

Main duties and responsibilities:

• To monitor drill/blast and load/haul performance, with a view to constant improvement in both quality and costs;
• Fortnightly production schedules on a rolling weekly basis to meet production budget;
• Drill & Blast designs and ensure their implementation;
• To achieve the above objectives with due consideration to safety, the environment, statutory obligations and the efficient management of the company’s
• Assets and human resources
• Production of all weekly, monthly and yearly reports;
• Compilation of all mining data for budgeting purposes;
• Monitor all paperwork and ensure the relevance and necessity of the data being collected.
• Generation and review of current and future pit designs, waste dumps, haul roads and any other mining infrastructure.
