MRP Controller
Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain MRP orders by reviewing exception messages and taking action on them.
- Perform material and capacity availability checks as required to schedule aftermarket requirements to meet customer needs, taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Evaluate and take action on MRP exception messages in regards to cancellations, in order to minimize the impact on excess inventory generation while maximizing the dollar return.
- Maintain order policy information in Material Master in such a way that it will maximize customer satisfaction while controlling inventory and costs.
- Evaluate and implement sales order changes to minimize impact on inventory while maximizing customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate and load new sales orders in such a manner to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing impact on production schedule.
- Activate MRP reschedule exception messages in a timely manner that will minimize the effect on production schedules and maximize resource utilization.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Change Analysts the processing of EO changes on WIP orders, cancellations, and new releases as a result of the EO changes.
- Measure and ensure SAP systems data integrity and accuracy.
Qualifications
- This position requires a degree in Business (or equivalent experience and training) and several years’ experience in the areas of Manufacturing, Production Control, and Inventory Management. This position requires an in-depth understanding of Materials Management function as it relates to capacity planning, master scheduling, and inventory control. Position also requires excellent interpersonal skills, as there are inter-relationships with Manufacturing, Production Control, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and MIS that will affect how successful the company will be in meeting its objectives.
