Geologist

Job Description:

  • [Company] is currently looking for a geologist to supervise and direct environmental field sampling activities, geologic logging, oversight of well installation, preparation of various documents including sampling and work plans and investigation reports. Provide field oversight of remedial system and landfill operation and maintenance, site remediation activities including groundwater sampling and installation and operation of in-site remedial technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology/Environmental Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working on environmental remediation projects with an emphasis on CERCLA and RCRA processes
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Ability to plan and execute site investigation projects including collecting, analyzing and interpreting chemical and physical data for preparing site investigation reports
  • Between 10 and 15 years of experience in planning, executing and reporting RI/FS programs
  • Ability to direct field sampling programs and remedial action and manage multiple subcontractors
  • Excellent technical writing and time management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office software, ArcGIS is a plus
  • Successful candidate will be articulate with a professional presence. They will posses solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills. Must be willing to travel and have excellent references.
