Regional Internal Auditor

Very important MIning Company is seekin for a Regional Internal Auditor who will implement the future-state vision of the Internal Audit (IA) function and operationalize IA processes, practices, and methodologies that are in line with IIA standards and relevant best practices. To manage day-to-day operations of the Internal Audit function within a region in order to strengthen the local control environment, ensure compliance with relevant standards (internally and/or externally) and support the IA team overall. To initiate and undertake audit projects to optimize performance within specified areas and to ensure local risk, control and compliance matters are addressed. To plan, conduct, and report in line with the internal audit mandate across Kinross’ global operations.

Requirements:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• A recognized accounting designation (CA / CGA / CMA / CIA / MBA) and / or relevant Internal Audit experience.
• More than 8 years of related work experience.
• Thorough understanding of IIA standards and interpretive guidance as well as practical application of audit techniques and advance audit practices.
• Experience in Mining Industry, developing and enhancing internal audit programs is a must.
