Maintenance Superintendent - E&I

  • We are currently seeking a Maintenance Superintendent - E&I for our Uncle Sam, Louisiana location.  This position supervises and coordinates the electrical and instrumentation (E&I) activities for the entire Uncle Sam complex through one [Company] Supervisor to include safety, housekeeping, environmental, quality, productivity, training, team work, cost controls and planning.

What will you do?

  • Supervises and coordinates all E&I technical matters to include routine maintenance, major turnaround maintenance, upgrade and modification maintenance, non-destructive testing, preventive and predictive maintenance, and selected capital projects.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the electrical power and instrumentation including responsibility for the distributive control system.
  • Responsible for area planning, scheduling, material expediting, manpower utilization and work execution.
  • Provide written reports and documentation as required by internal and external sources.
  • Provide continuous effort and initiative to upgrade the present E&I infrastructure.

Position Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer certification a plus.
  • Overall technical and maintenance knowledge and experience.
  • Maintenance cost control, safety performance and environmental compliance.
  • DCS familiarity.
  • Word processing, spreadsheets, database applications, internet use and email.
  • Good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work with operations, maintenance mechanics, and area engineers on troubleshooting, retrofits and failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of TG controls and protection is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
