Process Technician D - Sulfuric Acid

  • We are currently seeking a Process Technician D - Sulfuric Acid for our Uncle Sam, Louisiana location.

What will you do?

  • Train and qualify in all outside areas of the sulfuric acid unit to include monitoring instruments, flowmeters and other indicates, and listens for warning signals to verify conformity of process conditions to plant standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Monitors equipment malfunctions and makes adjustments as directed by board operator technicians including operations of turbo generators to produce electricity.
  • Perform orderly correction of any problems in a safe manner securing equipment and preparing for maintenance in accordance with the prescribed safety and environmental policies and practice
  • Inspects equipment for potential and actual hazards, wear, leaks, and other conditions requiring maintenance or shutdown.
  • Manually regulates or shuts down equipment during emergency situations as directed by supervisory personnel.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED, Process Technology Degree and industrial experience is strong plus.
  • Familiarity with an industrial environment preferred. 
  • Basic knowledge of computers. 
  • Effective verbal communication skills a plus. 
  • Must be able to work in a team environment to accomplish results. 
  • 12 hour rotating shift is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
