My client as a leading global manufacturer of fertiliser and explosives with over 20 key sites throughout the world . Judd Farris has been engaged to source a professional and experienced Process Engineer to join their new and dynamic team in the Bowen Basin.


Our client is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join there new $1 billion dollar project based in QLD which turns operational in April 2012. This is an exciting time for the company and for the new team which will carry this project from commission phase through to operational in the coming months.  


This is an excellent an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to grow and develop there career as our client is sourcing a candidate that can step into a Senior role within the company/project within 2 years. 

The Role
Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Monitoring plant performance and developing improvement strategies to optimise plant output
• Investigating and driving de-bottlenecking and cost reduction initiatives across the business
• Providing technical advice to plant productions teams and management
• Monitor and maintain product quality
• Contribute to overall plant cost effectiveness
• Ensuring the company vision of Zero harm in the work place.

The Candidate

• Tertiary Qualifications in Chemical Engineering or other relevant discipline
• 5 years plus experience in a chemical, petrochemical and or hazardous environment is essential to be considered for this role.
• Global/International experience in a similar role would be highly regarded
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to influence change within process teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A strong focus on Health, Safety, Environment and Community
