Safety Advisor - FIFO to Regional Queensland

Swift Worldwide Resources is a leading specialist supplier of manpower resources to the global Oil & Gas industry. With over 30 years focusing exclusively in this sector, Swift provides a world-class service to the industry leaders.

Our client, a global Operator in the oil and gas industry, is looking to expand their team and are looking for a FIFO Safety Advisor on a long term contract, minimum of 12 months with extension options.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Conduct site inspections identifying any hazards and suggesting site improvements and report any feedback
  • Participate in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA'S); and project HAZID risk reviews to ensure risks are managed
  • Conduct tool box talks for the Construction site
  • Carry out checks on permits to work
  • Assist in training contractors onsite in health and safety requirements

Required skills, experience and attributes:

  • Formal qualification in OH&S/Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry with Health & Safety background
  • Previous experience in internal auditing systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to conduct onsite investigations and report on the findings
  • Able to assist in the administration of the Fitness for Work Policy including drug & alcohol testing
