Underground Mine Surveyor

Our client is a large, international, hard rock producer with an Underground mine near in West Queensland.  They require a Mine Surveyor to provide advice and support on surveying activities on site.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking daily survey tasks as directed by the Mine Manager
  • Communication with other departments in order to meet production/budget objectives
  • Strong emphasis on safety and best practice
  • Volumes and calculations for contractor payment as required
  • Mentoring less experienced survey staff.
Successful applicants will have:
Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, be an effective team player
Detailed knowledge of statutory requirements
Computer literate including with Mining software packages
Familiar with Leica Survey instruments
Minimum 1 year experience in Mining environment
