Structural Engineering Intern
Description and Desired Qualifications
- Our Structural Engineering Intern jobs provide you with an opportunity to work on oil and gas, chemicals, biofuel and mining projects. Each day you will perform the routine aspects of assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principals. You should be a self-motivated professional enrolled in a civil engineering program and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new structural engineering task.
Our Structural Engineering Interns:
- Perform the routine aspects of assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles
- Coordinate with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and process
- Analyze structures using various structural engineering software programs
- Prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials
- Produce 3D computer models
- Review construction submittals for conformance to contract and design documents
Basic Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited civil or structural engineering program and be in your Junior or Senior year
- Some CAD training
