Description and Desired Qualifications

  • Our HR Benefits Professional 3 career path provides you with an opportunity to support CH2M HILL's benefit projects and initiatives.
  • You will provide expertise using your strong background administering health, welfare and particularly the retirement plans.
  • The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of directly applicable work experience working closely with HR staff and vendors to resolve employee/retiree questions and concerns.
  • You will use excellent customer service and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with internal customers at all levels of the organization.

Our HR Benefits Professional 3 is responsible for the following:

  • Respond to all benefit plan (health and retirement) inquiries from employees/retirees and internal customers with a high degree of confidentiality via our case management tool.
  • Work closely with HR staff and vendors to resolve employee/retiree questions and concerns.
  • Serve as lead operational resource for 401(k) plan and provide support to retirement plan staff.
  • Support the benefits group's processes and projects, including annual open enrollment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service, written and oral communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • 4 to 6 years of written and oral communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • 4 to 6 years of benefits administration generalist experience, with a solid understanding of benefit laws and regulations (including ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, etc.) and a strong background in the administration of defined contribution retirement plans
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8 years of benefits administration generalist experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and across various departments on complex projects
  • Proven track record of successfully resolving complex benefits issues
  • Background in administering defined benefit plans
  • Demonstrated detail-orientation, self-motivation and ability to multi-task

Degree Required

  • Bachelors or 4 Year Degree

Preferred Years of Experience

  • 4-6
