Health & Safety Director
Job Description:
- We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Director with outstanding communication and problem solving abilities. You will be working directly with our team to create overall health and safety plans and culture in a mining environment. The ability to self-direct and manage senior level H&S professionals towards our goal of 0 incidents is critical to success. Experience from various industries may be considered with a minimum of 10 years’ experience directly in health and safety. Experience with MSHA, heavy industry, and large facilities such as those used in manufacturing is highly desired but not required.
Duties:
- Oversees and evaluates New and Existing health and safety policies and procedures
- Manages senior level support staff
- Develops and provides guidance for construction safety
- Works with project and engineering management to design and implement dynamic construction safety management processes.
Other:
- Position will last 1 to 2 years with option to go permanent somewhere towards the end of the two years.
- Relocation assistance is not available with this position
