Environmental Intern

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Houston, Texas office is seeking an environmental, natural resources or geological scientist or engineer as a summer intern (May – August 2012) to work as part of a team on a variety of geotechnical, natural resource, and environmental engineering related projects. Golder Associates offers significant opportunities for the right candidate. The employee will participate in geotechnical, natural resource, and environmental engineering projects that involve subsurface investigation, geotechnical engineering design and evaluation, environmental remediation, and environmental assessment. The position requires some travel and fieldwork as dictated by project demands.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified candidate must be enrolled in a Master’s Degree program in geological, natural resource, or environmental engineering, or related engineering/science field.
  • Candidate must be eligible for employment in the US, possess a valid US driver's license, interact well with the public, have excellent teamwork skills and pass a pre-employment physical including drug screening and criminal background check. The candidate shall have excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with leadership ability and a positive attitude and ability to work both independently and in groups. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and AutoCAD software preferred.
