OH&S Advisor/Emergency Response Coordinator

Our client is a leading Gold Mining Facility in Western Australia. This underground operation is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Response Coordinator to provide Health and Safety advice and support to the operational departments as well as being the Coordinator of the Emergency Response Team. 

This mine site has excellent accommodation and facilities, including Internet access, swimming pool, gym and Pay TV. They operate on an 8/6 FIFO basis from Perth. 

This role is a key leadership position and the successful candidate will work closely with the OHS Management Systems in conjunction with the Safety Manager, OHS Advisors and other senior mine management staff.

The following skills and experience is vital to the position:

• Certificate III in Mines Rescue & Response (or equivalent)
• Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
• Paramedical or Nursing Qualification
• 3 years minimum experience in Mining industry
• Strong background with Emergency planning and coordination
• Experience with OHS Management systems and Emergency Management Systems
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and industry standards.
