Currently we are recruiting for:

ESTIMATORS, INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing all levels of capital cost estimates from Order of Magnitude to detail for mineral processing projects
  • Preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation to support estimate preparation and review
  • Maintaining the estimating data base
  • Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to support capital cost estimates
  • Establishing good working relationships with staff, engineering discipline leads, department and project managers and clients
  • Depending on current projects, you may have the opportunity to act as lead and/or supervise a junior estimator

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years experience in estimating capital costs for mining projects
  • Sound knowledge of construction processes
  • An engineering degree or engineering technologist diploma would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience in cost estimating of heavy civil works would also be considered an asset
