Warehouse Personnel

FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION!

$17-19/hour!

Our South client is a leading distributor of specialty chemicals serving the energy, mining, food processing and small-bore drilling industries in Canada.

This candidate in this position reports to the warehouse manager and is responsible for the following:

general duties of loading and unloading, storing and packaging products at the facility.
assisting with shipping and receiving duties
remain current on WHMIS, TDG and all other safety regulations
ensure accuracy in shipping/receiving of all products to and from the warehouse
inspect and verify products and quantities during loading/off-loading of transport vehicles
verify and sign inspection documents and checklists for products
ensure materials are packaged correctly for transport
ensure all necessary inspections and tests are completed before authorization of product release to the customer.
proper operation and maintenance of all equipment.
re-package of chemical products and Soda Ash
Accurate stenciling and labeling of bags
ensures the warehouse, equipment and supplies are maintained in a safe and clean working condition.

Experience:

Previous warehouse experience (1-2 years) with minimal supervision preferred.
Forklift experience (does not have to be certified)
Product and industry knowledge would be an asset, identification of dangerous goods and safe work practices
Ability to provide support to a team High school diploma

Physical Requirements: -

squatting, bending, kneeling, stair climbing, reaching, twisting, stand, walk for intermittent periods
sitting for extended periods
lifting weights up to 50lbs and pulling weights to 100lbs

Shift work, Pay rate is $17-19 per hour
