This leading and highly successful company in the coal mining industry is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their dynamic and high performing team. The company is based in the outskirts of the blue mountains near Lithgow.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will play a key function in maintaining and developing the finance function.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Monthly financial management reporting
• GL reconcilliations, cash management and project reporting
• Budgeting, forecasting and business analysis
• Commerical and financial responsibility for the mine operation
• Reviewing capital acquisitions

The ideal candidate will have:

• Australian experience in a similar position preferably in the mining industry
• CA/CPA qualification
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence change
• Outgoing, confident and a sense of humour
• Ability to work autonomously and strong time management and planning
• The ability to take iniative and direction
