Finance Director

An international manufacturing concern in the mining/engineering sector, based in Kya Sands, seeks the skilled expertise of a qualified Chartered Accountant [ CA ] to lead the national Operations Financial reporting, planning and forecasting, driving financial process improvement and organizational transformation initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Desired Skills & Experience
• 10 to 12 years applicable operations/manufacturing finance experience
• BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Multi-national operations experience preferred
• Regulatory environment experience preferred
• Critical skills required
• Ability to develop and implement transformation initiatives
• Experience working with finance and operational leadership to develop and implement future state / re-engineered business processes
• Experience leading or implementing captive and / or third party Financial Shared Services
• SAP ERP and/or EPM experience developing and implementing automated processes and controls
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including senior leadership presentation skills

Job Specification

• Finance Director
• The Finance Director will directly support the Operations Leadership Team and be the main contact for Corporate consolidations as it relates to the Operation’s teams financial results
• It will directly interface with the plant controller teams to drive the standardization and automation of critical Manufacturing Operations financial processes. It will interface with senior operations and leadership      

Key responsibilities for this position include :

• Lead the monthly global consolidated management close reporting and forecasting
• Development of the global consolidated Operations Annual Operating Planning and standards process
• Continued evolution of the Operations Finance organizational structure via: the standardization and automation of processes and controls using EPM and other systems tools the implementation of enabling / future state processes such as Finance Shared Services
• Operations Finance process improvement project development and management including:
• Standardization of the annual Standard Cost development
• Automation of the monthly Capitalized Manufacturing Variation (CMV) and Inventory Revaluation processes
• Cross functional review of Corporate overhead costs and allocation
• Standardization and automation of the Operations management reporting package
• Direct support of the EPM system and SAP manufacturing plant implementation
• Implementation of the Financial Shared Services model within the manufacturing plants
• Tracking and reporting Performance Systems and strategic programs
• Leading the weekly/monthly cross functional Operations Scorecard reporting
• Integration of acquisitions
