About our Client
Our client is a global engineering consultancy that specialise in offering engineering, project management and operation solutions to energy and resources industries. With an impressive ongoing domestic and international project portfolio, and new projects commencing in 2012, our client are now looking to expand their established Perth based team.

Job Description
As a Buyer you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing incoming requisitions and material requirements for validity and priority.
• Make purchasing decisions based on benchmark prices and cost comparisons.
• Development and maintenance of supplier database.
• Assist with vendor negotiations on price, delivery and terms and conditions.
• Assist with vendor selection, tendering and assessments.

The Successful Applicant
In order to be successful in this role you will have at between at least 3 years experience in a buyer/procurement based role ideally within an engineering/resources company. You will have knowledge of the entire procurement process and be dedicated to delivering value in terms of cost savings and timeliness of deliveries. You will have a natural ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
