Senior Internal Auditor, Fluent German speaker, 20% travel to US

My client is a large multinational operating in the mining, oil & gas fields.
They require a Senior Internal Auditor to join their small audit team in Germany.
This role will require you to be capable of report writing in German fluently and to be able to conduct the end to end audit process without supervision.
Tasks in the role will include:
- Participation in the preparation of the testing program,
- Personal responsibility for planning and conducting audits (financial and operational audits) in accordance with test program
- Analysis and evaluation of business processes and the internal control system (ICS) in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, adequacy and propriety;
- Development of checklists and test methods
- Introduction and enforcement of audit results,
- Participation in the risk-based audit planning,
- Drawing board just audit reports in German and English language, including appropriate plans of action,
- Conducting special audits,
- Participation in monitoring the implementation of measures.
Knowledge / Experience:
- Completed economics or equivalent degree,
- Mind. 3-5 years of professional experience in Internal Auditing (industry) and / or auditing,
- Preferred qualifications in the standards (e.g. CIA, CISA),
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting (IFRS, HGB),
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP,
- Confident in dealing with Microsoft applications
- Practical experience in implementing and / or testing of internal control systems and the basics (e.g. COSO concept, Sarbanes-Oxley, risk management),
- Willingness to travel at home and abroad,
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills
- Self-structured and goal-oriented approach, high motivation,
- Very good communication skills, teamwork, self-confidence
- Very good knowledge of English, a second foreign language would be advantageous.
