About the Job

  • Small environmental services firm seeks motivated Chemist / Environmental Scientist
  • [Company] . is a small (less than 10 employees) environmental services firm located in central NJ. We provide Geoprobe direct-push and direct-sensing services, certified mobile laboratory analytical services, and GIS visualization services for large and small environmental consultants throughout the region.
  • The position we are looking to fill is in our mobile laboratory/direct sensing group. The individual will be required to perform GC/MS analysis for volatile organic compounds in accordance with SW-846 method 8260B (both mobile and fixed base laboratory), provide data review, and assist in the GC applications associated with direct-sensing.

Requirements:

  • The educational requirements for this position are a B.S. in chemistry, environmental science, or a related science. One to two years of experience in the use of GC/MS and knowledge of SW-846 methods is desirable.  However, if you have the interest and desire to work with a cutting-edge, high-tech soil and groundwater investigation company solving complex environmental problems we are willing to consider training an appropriate candidate.
  • Much of the work is in the field, and will require some out of town overnight travel.
