- You will provide expertise using your strong background administering defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans.
- The ideal candidate will have 6 years of directly applicable work experience working closely with HR staff and vendors to resolve employee/retiree questions and concerns.
- You will possess excellent customer service and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with internal customers at all levels of the organization.
Our HR Benefits Professional 2 is responsible for the following:
- Respond to all retirement plan inquiries from employees/retirees and internal customers, with a high degree of confidentiality, via our case management tool
- Work closely with HR staff and vendors to resolve employee/retiree questions and concerns
- Serve as subject matter expert on our three pension plans and our retiree medical plan; serve as back-up to our 401(k) plan administrator
- Coordinate annual pension plan audit
- Calculate pension estimates and set up new retirees
- Ensure administrative compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Basic Qualifications
- Proficiency with Word, Outlook, and especially Excel
- Excellent customer service, written and oral communication, organization and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- 4+ years of benefits administration experience, with a solid understanding of benefit laws and regulations (including ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, etc.) and a strong background in the administration of defined benefit retirement plans
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the basic qualifications, the following are also preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and across various departments on complex projects
- Proven track record of successfully resolving complex benefits issues
- Background in administering defined contribution plans
- Demonstrated detail-orientation, self-motivation and ability to multi-task
