Job Description
Reporting to Director level, with regular interaction with the business, the Finance Manager will be a key component in driving the business forward and increasing market share. You will support the board and a variety of internal stakeholders through the provision of financial management information and strategic recommendations. Responsibilities will include:
- Take full responsibility for monthly management accounts and financial reporting including the preparation of the board pack
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, communicating with operations where required, including the monitoring and tracking actuals vs budget
- Produce insightful management reports for the senior management team utilising the existing finance systems and Excel
- Support operations thorough the provision of accurate and timely job costing information
- Analyse performance and present key findings and recommendations to the board, enabling them to make key strategic business decisions
- Add value through analysis in regard to business metrics, KPI reporting, sales and cost analysis and labour inefficiencies
- Manage and monitor cash flow including long term planning and forecasting
- Supervise the finance and administration team including managing workloads, motivating and assist with any recruitment requirements
- Ad-hoc internal projects such a systems upgrades and business improvement projects
The Successful Applicant
In order to be considered for this role you will possess both a relevant University degree and a professional accounting qualification. Coupled with a strong academic background, you will have proven experience within an industrial, commercial environment. You will be a strong management accountant ideally with exposure to MYOB and/or Pronto. In addition, a prerequisite for this role is an ability to communicate cross functionally, be solution orientated and see the ‘bigger picture’.
