Breaker Technology, Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of rock breaking systems, mobile equipment and hydraulic attachments for the mining, construction and aggregate industries. We are a subsidiary of Astec Industries, Inc. (astecinc.com) a worldwide supplier of heavy equipment based out of Chattanooga, TN.

BREAKER TECHNOLOGY, Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of rock breaking systems, mining equipment and hydraulic attachments for the mining, aggregate, construction and demolition industries worldwide. We are currently seeking an experienced individual as a:

Purchasing Manager

The position responsibilities include:

the purchasing of raw materials, components, equipment, services and supplies for manufacturing operations;
the selection and evaluation of vendors;
the review and approval of all purchase orders and contracts;
the preparation of reports related to commodity, volume, and pricing trends;
the establishment of departmental policies and procedures based on best practices to meet company requirements;
and the supervision of purchasing agents and warehouse personnel.

Experience/Education:

A post secondary education in a related technical or business discipline is required along with 5+ years in a senior purchasing role within an ISO 9001 certified organization.
Experience with the supervision of hourly and salary employees is required.
Previous experience in a custom fabrication and manufacturing environment is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates with Materials Management or Supply Chain Logistics experience.
Familiarity with an organization servicing international customers is also an asset.
