Indigenous Development Supervisor

Indigenous Development SupervisorFIFO 8/6 Ex Perth

Reporting to the Indigenous Development Superintendent, the Supervisor Indigenous Development will be responsible for leading a group of dedicated Coordinators who provide the development of Indigenous employees, to ensure that all have access to ongoing training, mentoring and support.  Additionally this position will apply relevant cultural expertise to anticipate problems and proactively resolve issues with Leaders in the work environment.

This role will be based at our Cloudbreak mine site.

Your accountabilities will include the following:
  • Provide support and build relationships with employees to assist with the transition into employment
  • Develop in collaboration with Supervisors, support, training plans for all Indigenous Employees including Inductions, Training Courses, and any Offsite Training Courses required
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to leaders and employees.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external suppliers and customers.
  • Obtain and execute the company Aboriginal Employment Strategy, in a proactive and engaging manner.
  • Establish company wide relationships with VTEC and Cloudbreak leaders to continue to build of the success that Cloudbreak is currently experiencing.
  • Provide ongoing leadership the team of indigenous development coordinators at Cloudbreak
To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of Local Indigenous culture, lore and environment coupled with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders to achieve business outcomes. Accountability focus and initiative combined with strong interpersonal and communications skills is a must for this role.
