My client, a well known and highly respected Contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Safety Professional to head up Safety for the Civil Engineering division across NSW, QLD and ACT.

Reporting directly into the Executive General Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety throughout the region, working closely with GMs to drive safety through all projects from Management through to gangs on site.   

With one of the best targeted reporting figures in the Industry, this company believes in collaboration when driving safety through the business, therefore this role, would suit a Senior Safety professional that is hands on and can relate to men on site, but also able to liaise with Management at a Senior level to keep all interests in mind.  

Due to the interstate responsibilities you will be required to travel, but can be based in either QLD or NSW.  With a turnover in excess of $500million and with over 700 employees, in this division, you will be incremental in driving safety through the states, reporting directly to the Executive Manager.  You will need to gain buy in from the staff force on site and will consider the cultural issues of the level of understanding and importance placed on safety, and how best to communicate this positively into the organisation.  

It is paramount that applicants have worked within the Safety construction market for the last 10 years, and should have experience of overseeing several projects at any one time.  You will be able to demonstrate how you have driven safety within a company and the positive improvements you have made through implementation of guidelines and best practice.
