SXEW Processing Manager (Solvent Extraction & Electrowinning - Mining)

Contract (renewable) FIFO position in the mining sector in a remote and safe area of the Democratic Rep of the Congo. Single status position (not favourable for wives and families to reside there) with a six day working week. Reports to the Plant Manager

Key Technical Skills Required:

• BS Metallurgical Engineering Degree required (MS preferable)
• +10 years experience in hydrometallurgy, solvent extraction, electrowinning
• Strong technical skills - capable of reviewing/approving detailed engineering designs and PFD’s
• Management experience and have been exposure in carrying to HR policy, disciplinary
• Must be an aspiring manager capable of motivating and leading a national workforce to achieve clearly defined safety and production targets and have an in-depth understanding of copper hydrometallurgical processes to an extent that risk of failure is minimal.
• Ability to lead operations teams to achieving targeted production goals
• Develop and manage SXEW (Solvent Extraction and Electrowinning - copper mining) facility and all associated staff.

Other Essentials

• Previous expatriate experience would be advantageous
• Ability to communicate in French would be a plus (not essential)
• English is mandatory due to the frequent technical meetings with engineering and support companies and other vendors as well preparation of operations and technical reports

Remuneration And Benefits:

• Annual salary up to US$180,000 per annum (tax free plus benefits), depending on skills and experience
