Our Client is currently seeking a Charge Hand to join their team.  Join this large plant hire service company with an excellent reputation throughout Africa and many overseas countries.

Skills / Edu / Exp

• Must have completed a Trade in either Earthmoving Mechanics or Diesel   Mechanics
• Must have a min of 10 years post apprenticeship exp
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be medically fit
• Have own tools
• Prepared to work shifts
• Have min 5 years heavy earthmoving equipment exp in an open pit mining environment
• Have min 5 years exp in leading a team, good leadership skills
• Have the ability to plan, lead and supervise
• The ability to compile machine inspections
• Good Computer literacy skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A strong focus on safety and health practices

Should have working experience on the following machinery:

• CAT Equipment: Dozers, Graders,150t Dump Trucks, Wheel Loaders
• Liebherr Excavators: 964,974,984,9350
• Terex 100t Dump Trucks
• Sandvik/Atlas Copco surface drill rigs

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift team in a hands on position in the maintenance and repairs to allocated machine fleet
• Good trouble shooting knowledge on electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Good understanding of maintenance processes
• Good management style
• Ordering of parts, components
• All managing criteria of a team
• Job card requisite
