Sr. Estimator

Responsibilities

• Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large, complex heavy civil/mechanical and electrical construction projects such as highways/bridges/hydroelectric plants for bid-build and design-build projects. 
• Perform, monitor and supervise project estimates and bid information to ensure accurate and timely information.
• Preparation of project estimates to ensure all factors are properly considered, priced, and included in the estimate summary. 
• Performing site visits and investigations.
• Job cost projections and audits.
• Constructability studies.
• Research services for methods, costs and construction techniques.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and/or diploma in Civil, Construction and Mechanical Technology.
• 5 - 10 years estimating experience directly related to construction.
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
• Possess strong mathematical and computer skills (experience with Microsoft Excel and Word).
• Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must be willing to travel and / or potentially relocation.
• Candidates must possess a strong work ethic.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
