Staff/Senior Engineer Mining

Overview:

  • [Company] . is seeking a Staff/Senior Engineer with experience in the mining industry to join our Tucson office.

Responsibilities:

  • Mining related Civil/Geotechnical engineering design and construction
  • Remedial Action/Reclamation Construction oversight
  • Preparation of engineering cost estimates
  • Work Plans and Report preparation
  • Field task management
  • Preparation of regulatory compliance submissions
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal direction in performing most tasks and assignments.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Civil/Geotechnical or Civil/Water Resources Engineering; or a Bachelor's degree and equivalent experience.
  • Registration or eligibility, with the requisite experience, to be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Arizona.
  • Experience with AZ regulations pertaining to the mining industry
  • OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER; MSHA training preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Project; AutoCAD/GIS a plus
  • Excellent organizational and written and oral communication skills
  • Travel to temporary assignments and time in the field will be required
