Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Position is a job site management position and typically assumes responsibility for the administrative and technical aspects of constructing a project.
In general, duties include but are not limited to:
- Creates and maintains excellent relationships with Owners/Subs
- Develops full knowledge of plans and specifications in order to ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Participates in and conducts job planning and scheduling; Updates job schedule as necessary
- Prepares and negotiates material and subcontracts
- Executes contracts to ensure cost efficiency
- Manages payment applications
- Prepares and manages job cost control budget and develops job quantities
- 40% construction
- 60% customer / client relations, contracts, project controls
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in construction and engineering of large industrial projects. Heavy refinery construction experience preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
