Lead Planner / Scheduling Engineer
Responsibilities
- [Company] Energy has an immediate opening for Lead Planners/Schedulers. This position will be responsible for hands-on schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities for small and large industrial projects; discipline/project/proposal estimating or staff planning activities that require a high degree of technical skill and experience. Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to planning and scheduling problems. Provides scheduling guidance to projects.
- The Lead Planner/Scheduling Engineer will be able to develop construction schedules, working with various E/P contractors, for all disciplines, and establishing and maintaining the schedules utilizing Primavera P3 for Windows. Detailed schedule development duties include establishing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration and establishing the proper work flow logic ties. Routine analysis and work around option planning along with interface coordination with the E/P contractors will be required. Other duties may require input to project monthly progress reports and issuance of periodic schedule analysis reports. Additional duties include implementation and maintenance of construction 3 week schedules and subcontractor schedules.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in refineries, process plants, heavy industrial plants, and power plants.
- Knowledge of Construction Schedule logic for schedule development is required.
- Hands-on experience with Primavera P3 for Windows required along with working knowledge of Excel and Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with supervisory skills are required.
