The role
Our client is a national company who provides pump solutions and unparalleled service to their customers. In this newly created role, you will manage customers in the mining industry within the Bowen Basin region. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be based in Emerald, with an alternate option to be based in Rockhampton, where you would spend 1-2 days a week based in Emerald. You will sell pump solutions and service to customers, supported by the Emerald Workshop. The challenge in this role is that it is a new role. The attraction with this newly created role is you have the chance to grow the huge opportunities available, allowing you to create your own success and gain satisfaction from building it yourself. Your success will be measured directly on achieving sales targets.
Skills and requirements
This role requires an outstanding candidate with the following skills and experience:
Technical aptitude
Industrial pumps, Lubrication, Gearboxes, Bearings knowledge
Mining industry exposure
Proven sales record of building your market, maintaining a network of clients and contacts and current client accounts
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to forge strong relationships within the mining environment
Time management
Able to create call plans
Motivated and resilient
Computer literacy
Whilst not essential, Trade qualifications will be viewed favourably
