Manager of Business Development, Industrial

Job Description

• The Manager of Business Development, Industrial is responsible for the corporate business development functions with the focus of sustaining and strategically growing the Industrial Operations of the Company.
• From an internal perspective, the role acts as a strong liaison between the Industrial Building Unit, the Strategic Development Support Unit and the Estimating Support Unit to facilitate the identification, screening and capture of opportunities.
• From an external perspective, the role will involve a high level stewardship over the business/project cycle from the development of the initial client relationship, bid process, project execution and closure follow up while providing direct feedback to the Company.
• It is critically important that the Manager of Business Development, Industrial maintains strong internal communication and provides regular progress updates.  
• The Manager is required to have a high level awareness of activities and capabilities of each department.
• This role is intended to provide a strong resource to the Company and availability to participate in all pertinent issues is essential.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years progressive work experience in various construction/industrial environments such as mining, oil/gas, bio-energy and municipal infrastructure.
• Work respectfully and cooperatively with others; establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners; being inclusive, encouraging participation of all members.
• Proficient computer software skills.
• Superior leadership, communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide range of individuals.
• Requires effective written and oral communication
• Able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Uses creativity, as well as solid analytical skills and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Strong negotiation, problem solving and influencing skills.
