Our client is looking to appoint an Environmental & Safety Superintendent to join the team at their Pilbara Operations as they launch into an exciting and dynamic period of growth and optimisation.


The Position
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will provide specialist environmental and occupational health and safety advice across the Operation.


This position manages and promotes a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible working culture amongst employees to assist in the provision of a safe and incident free work place.


To accomplish this you will;

• Develop and implement Environmental & Safety management systems.
• Monitor and interpreting relevant legislation, policies and regulations.
• Provide direction and advice to ensure compliance.
• Manage the project approvals process.
• Identify risks and non-compliance issues.
• Lead a team of safety professionals and site medics.
• We require tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety combined with several years experience in a comparable mining focused position. To be successful we believe strong communication, highly developed negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential.
