With operations that span the globe, our client is a multi-discplinary engineering consultancy with Australian operations focussed on the environmental management and contaminated land industries. Due to continued growth, they seek the services of an experienced Environmental Project Manager to work on challenging projects from the heart of Melbourne's CBD.
This position will focus on performing project management responsibilities on upstream oil & gas environmental projects for a premier oil and gas energy client. In addition, you will be required to:
  • Periodically assist with the development of new business opportunities as a senior environmental professional
  • Provide a high level of technical competency on in-house and company-wide projects
  • Assist with mentoring and training of professional staff
These projects offer a wide range of technical, regulatory and business challenges requiring a well-rounded and results oriented individual. You will require a BSc from an accredited university (MSc preferred) in engineering, geology or science. In addition you will have:
  • 6-10 years of related experience in environmental consulting (minimum 2 years in management position)
  • An in-depth knowledge of Australian regulations
  • The ability to provide high-end technical support on complex projects
  • As a senior resource and role model, this leadership position requires an excellent attitude and an ability to communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and staff
  • Strong technical skills in assessment and remediation of downstream petrochemical facilities is expected and upstream is preferred
  • Financial/business management background is a plus
