Environmental Permitting and Assessment Coordinator

Seabridge Gold, a Canadian exploration and development company is seeking an Environmental Permitting/Environmental Assessment Coordinator for our Smithers, British Columbia office. Seabridge holds a 100% interest in the KSM property located near Stewart, British Columbia, Canada and the Courageous Lake gold project located in Canada's Northwest Territories. www.seabridgegold.org

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work with the KSM project team to advance the KSM Project through the Environmental Assessment, concurrent environmental permitting, development and operations stages.  Responsibilities will include extensive meetings with Provincial and Federal regulators, coordinating and providing expertise and direction on  permitting and technical requirements to the Project team.

Qualifications:
  • Post secondary degree in a field related to Natural Resource Management (e.g., Env. Science, Biology, Forestry etc.) with a minimum of 10 years experience; OR
  • M.Sc degree in a field related to Natural Resource Management and five years experience.
  • Experience in mining, project management and BC environmental legislation are an asset.

Candidates for this Smithers-based position should be available to travel, supervise others, coordinate and work well within the project team. 
The individuals should be a motivated self-starter with good communication and computer skills.
