- Business Pricing Analyst
Position Summary:
- Reports to Sr. Vice President of Shared Services. Responsible for the following:
- Manage the Salesforece.com pricing tool for Dyno Nobel North America (Canada and United States)
- Update pricing and sales reports as required with new pricing from across DN’s customers
- Manage the update process of the pricing in the tool by coordinating various key stakeholders
- Maintain working knowledge and associated reports of key pricing trends and customer pricing strategy information based on data in the tool
- Define a Balanced Scorecard for overall pricing strategy and management
- Support any special projects related to pricing
- Support sales strategies related to pricing
- Serve as an internal consultant to provide guidance in areas of critical business need, including sales analysis and market research reporting
- Drive product line requirements from multiple lines of business with a user driven approach
Essential Functions:
- Maintain detailed knowledge of Salesforce.com tool and associated customer pricing data
- Have ability to develop and write programming code to develop new reports in the Salesforce.com tool
- Align key organizational stakeholders and ensure constant feedback to sales and management team on pricing from customers
- Develop action plan for involving stakeholders in the change process and a plan for maintaining commitment
- Developing a Balanced Scorecard on pricing and pricing strategy effectiveness
- Support sales strategies with pricing trends and associated pricing information
- This position can have significant impact on DN profitability
- Facilitate requirements gathering and create business requirements documents
- Hands-on configuration / customization of the of the Salesforce.com product
- Work closely with developers and manage delivery of products to the end user
- Perform gap analysis: “as is” vs “to be”
- Participate in end-to-end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management.
- Preparation of user documentation and training documentation as necessary
- Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Requires sitting, stooping and kneeling
Required to walk short distances.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to physically travel between offices and remote field locations
Internal Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/MBA in Business Administration or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years business analyst experience
- Explosives industry knowledge a plus
- Salesforce.com configuration and customization
- Familiar with Salesforce.com enterprise ETL tools
- Proven management communication skills
- Ability to produce high-end reports for senior executives and to present/ facilitate discussions with senior executive audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Hands-on experience with report writing, data management/manipulation and dashboards
- Business process engineering
