Environmental Engineer 1

  • ARCADIS seeks an Environmental Engineer to support a growing base of projects in our Lenexa, KS office. This is an entry level opportunity for a dynamic individual looking for career growth in environmental consulting. This position offers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects, work with a great team, and join a successful growing organization with a reputation for high quality work and top notch employees.
  • Fieldwork may include soil and groundwater collection, operation and maintenance activities for remediation systems, soil gas surveys, soil and groundwater sampling, groundwater well installation, and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Office work may include data compilation, data management, report writing, and regulatory file review.
  • Candidates should have strong understanding of the fundamentals of process engineering and design, be proficient with technical writing, exhibit independent thinking skills, and be able to work successfully in a team setting.
  • Local candidates only; no relocation or travel reimbursement for this position.

Basic and Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum years of experience: 0-1
  • Education required: BS in Engineering-Environmental, Civil, Chemical or related field
  • Skills required: Proficiency with MS Office Suite; Excellent oral and written communication skills

Additional and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registrations/Certifications preferred: EIT; 40 hour OSHA Hazwoper
  • Years’ experience preferred: 2
  • Skills preferred: Experience in environmental remediation and knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred
  • This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does not manage others.
