Responsibilities:
- The person hired for this position will function as a Senior Environmental Project Manager/Geologist, have technical oversight of complex environmental assignments in the Tidewater Region and be heavily involved with marketing environmental services. You will be involved with managing and/or conducting complex projects dealing with environmental site assessments [Phase I & II studies], groundwater and soil investigations, risk assessments, hydrogeologic studies, remediation systems, industrial hygiene services [including asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air quality assessments, and health & safety], underground storage tank assessments, and remediation assessments. You will be involved with preparing and editing reports and proposals. You will interface on a daily basis with [Company] offices and clients throughout the region, with a strong emphasis on client development. Local candidates with knowledge of the Tidewater region, State and Federal regulations, and with existing client contacts are strongly preferred. We are looking for an individual with established local contacts who can make an immediate impact.
Qualifications:
- 7-10+ years of Environmental Engineering, Geology, or similar experience.
- BS in a discipline related to environmental science required; MS desired.
- VA PG license required.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Strong marketing and business development skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be self-motivated and responsible.
- Ability to work well with others, and be a part of a team.
