Human Health Risk Assessor

  • [Company] seeks a motivated Human Health Risk Assessor/Environmental Scientist to join our Risk Assessment and Ecological Sciences group located in the Bay Area. This position can be out of our Walnut Creek, San Francisco or Emeryville, CA location. This position has opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of human health risk assessments including data management, statistical evaluation, exposure assessment, hazard identification and dose response assessment.
  • Task management.
  • Technical support for preparation of environmental monitoring and investigation reports.
  • Data evaluation and presentation.
  • Field work, including environmental sampling, well gauging, ambient air and soil vapor sampling.
  • Proven ability to manage time commitments effectively.
  • Ability to work on a team with a variety of individuals, in multiple offices throughout the US.

Basic and Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum years of experience: 2-5
  • Education required: BS/BA in Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Public Health
  • Registrations/Certifications required: N/A
  • Skills required: Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel

Additional and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education preferred: MS in Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry or Master of Public Health
  • Registrations/Certifications preferred: OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER
  • Years’ experience preferred: 2-5
  • Skills preferred: quantitative analysis, presentation preparation, proficient in technical writing
  • This position does requires travel. Travel amount is negligible.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does not manage others.
